Ego vs Kindness: Understanding the Difference

What is ego?

Ego plays the role of an untruthful achiever who uses every method and tactic to get to their goals or to gain something. People driven by ego may be quick to assert their dominance, seek validation from others, and prioritize their own interests above all else.


Kindness:

On the other hand, kindness is a pure-hearted state of the soul that results in the emotion of giving. Kindness is characterized by empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others. When a kind-hearted person meets someone in need, they are quick to offer support, lend a helping hand, and show compassion without expecting anything in return.


Ego meets kind-hearted individuals:

God gives his children the authority to overcome adversity:

As children of God, we are given the authority to defeat our enemies and to say no to anything that does not align with God's grace and well-being for us. This authority is not something that we should take lightly but rather something that we should embrace and use to live a victorious life in Christ.


Bible verse Luke 10:19.

One of the key Bible verses that speaks to this authority is found in Luke 10:19, where Jesus says, "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you." The Authority to say "NO".

Discernment is the ability to recognize what is of God and what is not and to make wise decisions based on that knowledge. By using discernment, we are able to see when something is not in alignment with God's will for us and to say no to it, even if it may seem appealing or beneficial at the moment.


The Love and Care God gives to his Children:

As children of God, we are called to live a life of victory and authority. We are not meant to be passive or defeated but rather to stand firm in the authority that God has given us, use it to overcome our enemies and say no to anything that does not align with His will for us. By embracing this authority and walking in obedience to God, we can experience the abundant life that He has promised us.
